Ho’s Song of the Day- As each day gets more stressful (thanks 2020), I thought it would nice to do a cover song week. Check out Purity Ring with their cover of Alice DJ’s “Better off Alone,” a bop in its own right.

Ho’s Song of the Day- In this incredibly difficult year, it’s hard not to return to the songs and albums that brought you so much comfort and joy. One of those albums is the exceptional Body Talk by the now mythic Robyn.
I also forget through the amazing electro-pop production what a talented (and emotionally evocative) vocalist Robyn is- check out this beautiful cover of her song from Body Talk, “Indestructible.”

Ho’s Song of the Day- I love this bonus track from Dua Lipa (and actually have learn to appreciate the club remix of the amazing Future Nostalgia album). Check out “Love is a Religion.”

Ho’s Song of the Day- Everyone knows I am quite a BLINK. In honor of their Elle cover and their first full length album (October 2!), here is one of my favorite Blackpink songs “Playing with Fire.” Blackpink is the revolution.
Ho’s Song of the Day- In honor of a special video from Lady Gaga for her song 911, I wanted to feature it as my Song of the Day. While wasn’t my favorite initially off Chromatica, I do love the idea of putting a sad song to a fast beat- there is something oddly cathartic about dancing away your pain a la Robyn. It also helped that it was the second half of what would be one of the memes of the summer.
